One of my worries of some people who call themselves woke is their intolerance of people with a different opinion or lifestyle. We are indeed often in silos at the moment. Let's remember our common humanity and show respect to the person in front of us.
I do think that people's overall attention span has decreased over the years. Even if social media have been around for quite some time now (and are not the only culprit in my opinion) I guess that the constant overload of dopamine through the massive volume of content constantly bombarded through screens (think YouTube reels, tiktok or even the Explore section in IG) makes people less susceptible to really delve and look into issues. They want a quick fix, they want a quick dose of information thats easy to digest. The media knows it and feeds them accordingly. The result is that you get this overload of banal, cheap, sluggish opinions that flood any kind of space. Given the lack of real content and perspective all those opinions generally don't last long, something else comes along and catalyses commenters' attention so that the cycle will start again from scratch.
this was refreshing to read. looking forward to more unfiltered, honest takes.
Thank you, appreciate the feedback!

Yeah, it's quickly become a war between who's better. Sad.
